The Religious Education in Catholic Schools program is designed to prepare Catholic educators to serve as faith leaders in their classrooms and school communities.
Course Description
Religious Education Part 1 is a hybrid course that combines online learning with an immersive, guided study tour abroad. This unique approach allows participants to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith through both academic study and lived experience. The course begins with an introductory module, followed by a multi-day experiential learning journey abroad, where participants will explore the rich historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Catholic tradition.
Mode of Delivery
The course is delivered in a hybrid format, combining online learning with a guided study tour abroad.

OSAP Micro-Credential funding is available for this course.
Prerequisites
- OCT Member in Good Standing or OCT applicant if new Ontario BEd graduate
- Teacher education program coursework and practicum must be successfully completed before registration
- Technological Education qualified teachers are also eligible to take this course
