Art Educators Professional Development London

Introduction

This program allows students to study the art and architecture of London up close and in person. The city itself serves as the classroom, with its rich history, beautiful parks, and major museums. Students will come to understand how the British Empire has shaped the current concept of art history by visiting sites such as Stonehenge, the National Gallery, and other primary locations.

  • Monday, June 24: The British Empire's Story of Human Culture – Visit to the British Museum
  • Tuesday, June 25: Keeping up with the Continent – Visit Grand Tour Collections at the National Gallery
  • Wednesday, June 26: Focus on British Art 1500 to Present – Visit the Tate Britain
  • Thursday, June 27: The 1851 Crystal Palace Exhibition Revolution – Visit the Victoria & Albert Museum
