Program Description
The program involves spending a week in Ireland, where participants will learn about the history of Gaelic Sports and their influence on culture. They will also learn about common injuries and management techniques for injuries in Gaelic Sports and Rugby, and how Athletic Training fits into the Irish healthcare system. Tourism activities include a walking history tour of Dublin, a hop-on/off bus tour, and a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. Participants will be required to complete pre-departure readings and a quiz, and the remaining coursework will be integrated into Spring Clinic courses, including a daily journal, answers to a question of the day, a video project, and a final reflection.
Learning Experience
Learning partners will create interactive learning experiences that integrate lectures and lab-based activities. Participants will learn about injury mechanisms common in Gaelic Sports, assessment techniques, and loading. They will observe clinical sessions, watch live sports, and learn by doing. The program will also educate students on the history and culture of Gaelic Sport, while taking them inside the European model of club sports.

Accommodations
Participants will be accommodated in the 3-star Skylon hotel, where each student will have their own bed in 2-4 person rooms with their own bathroom and a small refrigerator. The hotel includes a hot all-you-can-eat breakfast bar daily and is located next to a grocery store. City center is a 10-minute bus ride away, and participants will be provided with a city transport pass.

Applicant Criteria
