Program Overview

The JMU Summer Band Camp is a comprehensive program designed for students to enhance their musical skills and knowledge. The camp offers various programs, including Concert Band, Marching Band, Guard, Drumline, and Drum Majors.

Program Details

Camp Cost

The camp cost includes all camp-related expenses, such as instruction, housing, food, recreation activities, a camp t-shirt, lanyard, drawstring bag, and water bottle. The costs are as follows:

• Early Bird Rate: $525 (available until April 15)
• Regular Rate: $550 (applies from April 16 to June 12)

Refund Policy

• The $100 reservation deposit is non-refundable.
• The remaining camp balance is non-refundable after the start of the camp (July 7, 2026).
• Refunds will only be granted in the event of an unexpected medical emergency or a death in the participant's immediate family.

Registration and Payment Process

The registration and payment process should be completed by each participant's parent and/or legal guardian. The process involves:

• Creating an account using the IRIS Registration and Payment System
• Completing the online registration form
• Paying the minimum $100 reservation deposit
• Making additional payments as needed

Registration FAQs

• How to register multiple participants: Use the same IRIS account to complete each student's registration.
• Updating registration information: Changes can be made by logging in to the IRIS account until the registration deadline (June 12, 2026).
• Payment types accepted: Debit/credit cards (no checks accepted).
• What to pay to reserve a spot: A minimum $100 reservation deposit.

Roommate Information

• Participants will be residing in different campus locations based on their program (Concert Band, Marching Band, Guard, Drumline, and Drum Majors).
• Roommate requests should be made considering the campus location assignments.

Additional Information

• The registration deadline is June 12, 2026, and outstanding balances must be paid in full by July 1, 2026.
• Final balances can be viewed and paid through the IRIS account.
• The camp administrators should be contacted for any additional questions or concerns.
