Program Overview
Introduction to the Adult Degree Program
The Adult Degree Program is offered by JMU's School of Professional & Continuing Education, inviting former JMU students to complete their degree.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Adult Degree Program, students must meet the following criteria:
- They are an undergraduate student.
- They have at least one graded (including withdrawals) semester at JMU.
- They left JMU in good academic standing and with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Fewer than two years have passed since their last graded (including withdrawals) semester.
Re-Entry Application
Students who meet the eligibility criteria may submit an Intent to Re-Enroll form. However, if they:
- Left JMU on academic suspension or their cumulative GPA was below 2.0.
- Have had more than two years pass since their last graded (including withdrawals) semester. They will need to contact the office to determine if they are eligible to submit a Re-Entry Application.
Application Deadlines
The application deadlines for the Adult Degree Program are as follows:
- Fall I: July 1
- Fall II: September 1
- Spring I: November 1
- Spring II: February 1
- Summer: April 1
