Program Overview
The JMU Foundations of Project Management & Team Communications Certificate Program is designed to provide professionals with foundational knowledge about project management and an appreciation for their individual roles in achieving project and organizational outcomes. Participants will be able to concisely communicate an unbiased perspective of project- and task-level statuses and challenges, supporting informed decision-making by project leaders.

Course Format
The course features:
- A class case study
- Teamwork during training to immediately apply concepts and tools
- Meetings on Zoom for the 100% online course, or in-person in Roanoke or Harrisonburg, Virginia
- Flexible course options, including two, three, or four-day versions, each with 12 hours of live instruction
- Use of Miro, an online whiteboard, for applied learning in online classes
- Interaction in groups, putting concepts into practice, both in-person and online
- Textbook and workbook included in the price

The course investment is $515.
Admission Requirements
There are no prerequisites to enroll in the program.
Program Completion Requirements
To complete the program, participants must:
- Pass the final quiz with 80%
- Submit a short written reflection statement
Registration Information
Registration can be completed online or by mail. A $50 fee will be assessed for any check returned by the bank. Registration closes one week prior to the class start date.
