Program Overview
The "Engineering a Better World" program is an exciting opportunity for students to solve problems and work on hands-on projects as a team. In partnership with JMU Engineering, this program allows participants to explore various fields within engineering and work with others to create a final product and solution.
Program Details
- Dates: Saturdays, October 11, 18, 25, and November 1, 2025
- Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM each Saturday
- Program Fee: $30 (includes t-shirt and lunch at E-Hall each day)
- Ages: 6th - 8th Grades
Program Structure
The program will be sponsored by different Engineering Clubs at JMU, including:
- Engineering Ambassadors
- Madison Aerospace Club
- National Society of Black Engineers
- Society of Women Engineers Each week will provide a unique opportunity for participants to engage with different aspects of engineering and work together to solve design challenges.
Program Benefits
Participants will have the chance to be an engineer each day, working on hands-on projects and exploring various fields within engineering. The program aims to provide a comprehensive and engaging experience, allowing students to develop their problem-solving skills and work collaboratively with others.
