Honors Program Participation Certificate

The Honors Program Participation Certificate is designed as an alternative path for students to participate in the academic and co-curricular benefits of the Honors Program. This certification specifically benefits those with a restrictive path towards graduation, particularly transfer students.

This certification of completion is intended for students who wish to participate in the Honors Program but may not be able to fulfill the traditional requirements.


Degree Requirements

To complete the Honors Program Participation Certificate, students must fulfill the following requirements:


Core Requirements

  • 6 semester hours
    • HONR 205: Global Ideas I: Multiethnic American Literature and Philosophy (4 semester hours)
    • or HONR 215: Global Ideas II: Post-Colonial/Modern Identity, Representation, and Space
    • HONR 499: The World is Our Neighborhood (2 semester hours)
    • Total Semester Hours: 6

Electives

  • 8 semester hours
    • Select eight semester hours from the following courses:
