Program Overview

The Criminology & Criminal Justice program provides knowledge of the criminal justice system, the agencies that comprise the system, and analysis of contemporary policy concerns. Students develop critical thinking, effective research skills, and awareness of the social, political, historical, ethical, and economic forces that affect criminal justice. The program is framed within the larger context of society today and the history of Western civilization, addressing themes such as:
