Program Overview
The Certified Nurse Assistant Pre-Certification program is designed to teach students the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to work as an entry-level nurse assistant in hospitals, assisted living, and long-term care settings. Upon completion, students will be eligible to take the California Nurse Assistant Competency exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.
Program Details
- The program consists of 180 hours of training.
- It is offered as a tuition-free noncredit program.
- The program is designed to provide low-cost training to quickly get students into the field.
Admission Requirements
- Students will be required to pay for a background check, drug screening, and have a current CPR certification.
- Anticipated out-of-pocket expenses range from $350-$450.
- The following paperwork is required:
- Application
- Negative Drug Screening results
- TB Test (must be completed within 3 months of program start)
- American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification
- COVID-19 Vaccine(s) (2 shots and 1 booster OR recent shot)
