Course Description

Air pollution is a significant problem for both humans and the environment, affecting climate and health. This course teaches students how researchers from various fields collaborate to find solutions in the green transition. Students learn how to measure air pollution and its spread, link air pollution to health, and investigate toxicity. The course is given in English and can be taken as a standalone course.

Course Structure

The course includes lectures, seminars, and projects where students work with real-life examples. The examination is conducted through written assignments and presentations, where students demonstrate their ability to analyze problems and propose solutions.

Admission Criteria

• Basic Eligibility: Required for admission.
• Selection: Priority is given to applicants who have applied on time and are registered for a course at Lund University the semester before this course. Remaining spots are allocated based on:
  • Grades (34%)
  • University entrance exam (34%)
  • Number of previous higher education credits (up to 165) at the last application date (32%)
  • If merit values are equal, selection is based on the university entrance exam, and if still equal, by lottery.

Tuition Fees

• EU/EES and Switzerland Citizens: No application or tuition fees.
• Non-EU/EES and Non-Switzerland Citizens: Total course fee is 12,333 SEK, paid in advance for each term. An application fee of 900 SEK is also required.
