Introduction to the MS in Accounting Data Analytics and Technology Program

The MS in Accounting Data Analytics and Technology program at Pace University is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the field of accounting, with a focus on data analytics and technology. This STEM-designated program is offered by the Lubin School of Business and is available in two formats: a one-year program for students with an accounting background and a two-year program for career-changers.


Program Overview

The program is designed to prepare students for CPA licensing, analytics roles, and leadership in the data-driven economy. Students will learn to use big data, AI, and ERP in auditing, cost management, and forensic accounting. The curriculum is aligned with the new "Core + Disciplines" CPA format and includes CPA review support.


Curriculum

The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to build a strong skill set in using data analytics and technology in accounting. Students will take courses such as:


  • MBA 810: Business Analytics and Statistics
  • IS 613: Database Management Systems
  • IS 641: Information Security and Controls Students will also have access to industry-standard tools, including Tableau, Python, and DataCamp, and will work with analysis software such as Excel, IBM SPSS, SAS, R, and Python.
