The Nutrition and Dietetics program requires a background in nutrition-related science courses, including pre-requisite courses. Admission Requirements

All applicants must meet the following requirements for admission into the Nutrition & Dietetics program:

  • Applicants must apply online
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale
  • Preferred prerequisite GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale
  • One page personal statement describing why you wish to pursue this field
  • Two letters of recommendation from either academic or professional sources

Prerequisite Courses

English Proficiency

If you earned a bachelor's degree in a country where English is not the official language and English is not your first language, you must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Pearson PTE that are no more than two years old. A TOEFL score of 100 (Internet-based version) or an IELTS score of 7.5 or Pearson PTE score of 68 is sufficient to demonstrate the requisite proficiency in English.

Additional Information

Priority consideration is given to students who complete all prerequisite coursework ahead of the application deadline. If offered admission with a course either in-progress or planned, the offer would be contingent on successful completion of all outstanding coursework ahead of the start of the term. The GRE is not required for admission into the program.
