Program Overview
Not-For-Profit Management Certificate
The Not-For-Profit Management Certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the not-for-profit sector. This certificate program requires 15 credits of coursework, consisting of 9 required credits and 6 credits in one of three Elective Areas: Managerial Skills Enhancement, Leadership Development, or Social Entrepreneurship. Additionally, each certificate student is required to complete a reflective portfolio in consultation with their assigned academic advisor.

Total Credits
The total credits required for the certificate program are 13-15 credits.
Special Considerations
For students with extensive background or professional experience in the not-for-profit sector, one required elective course in Area I or Area II may be waived and substituted with an additional elective in the social entrepreneurship list. Additionally, students in Elective Course Areas I and II may choose to take the PAA 690 Practicum or PAA 695 Internship: Non Profit, Government, and Healthcare in a designated not-for-profit organization, depending on their level of experience.
