Introduction to the Flex M.B.A. Program
The Flex M.B.A. program at Middle Tennessee State University's Jennings A. Jones College of Business is designed to provide students with a flexible and customizable education. Curriculum and Concentrations
The Flex M.B.A. program offers a customizable curriculum with eight concentrations:
- Healthcare Management
- Strategic Marketing Analytics
- Music Business
- Human Resource Management
- Risk Management
- Legal and Ethical Governance
- IT Project Management
- Data Analytics The program requires 10 courses without a concentration or 12-13 courses with a concentration. The Music Business concentration requires an additional course, for a total of 14 courses.
Program Format and Delivery
The Flex M.B.A. program is designed to be flexible, with students able to take courses on campus, online, or a combination of both. The program offers Saturday, evening, and online courses, allowing full-time professionals to balance work and home responsibilities with educational aspirations.
Admission Requirements
Students do not need to have an undergraduate business degree to apply to the Flex M.B.A. program. However, students who do not hold an undergraduate business degree must complete three preparatory modules (or approved equivalents) before starting the program.
Transfer Credit
Students may transfer up to 6 credit hours from another school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) into MTSU's online M.B.A. program. However, credit cannot be transferred for the capstone course.
