Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is a four-year academic program. Students enter the program as pre-nursing majors and must complete the first three semesters of a pre-nursing curriculum consisting of General Education courses and nursing prerequisites.

Program Structure

• The pre-nursing curriculum consists of General Education courses and nursing prerequisites, which must be completed in the first three semesters.
• After completing the pre-nursing curriculum, students apply for admission to the last five semesters, which include 71 semester hours of upper-division nursing courses.
• Upon acceptance and enrollment in the last five semesters, students are classified as Nursing majors.

Admission and Enrollment

• The number of students accepted into the nursing courses is limited, making the application process competitive.
• Students must apply for admission to the last five semesters of the program, and acceptance is based on a competitive process.

Program Completion and Licensure

• Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree.
• Graduates become eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
