Overview of the Summer Bridge Program

The Summer Bridge program is a component of the AOS program, facilitating a three-week summer session for eligible students.


Eligibility and Participation

  • To participate in Summer Bridge, students must have an 18+ ACT score and a 2.0 GPA.
  • Completion of the Summer Bridge program is not a requirement for participation in the AOS program; students are considered AOS members upon acceptance into the program.

Program Details

  • Books and Materials: The AOS program provides students with the necessary books for the Summer Bridge program.
  • Financial Aid: Summer Bridge is applied to the student's fall semester bill, with adjustments made to credit load and award upon completion of the Letter of Commitment.
  • Payment: Charges for Summer Bridge are placed on the student's fall semester bill, with no payment due until the first payment is required.

Housing Arrangements

  • Participants reside in the AOS Living Learning Community (LLC), located in Selene and Buckingham houses on the southeast side of campus.
  • Students cannot stay in their assigned rooms for the academic year during Summer Bridge due to the absence of a Residential Assistant; however, participants in the AOS LLC will move into their designated rooms on move-in day in July.
