Program Overview

The Master of Science in Healthcare Administration is a graduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become leaders or policy makers in the health industry. This program enables students to champion effective health policies and programs.


Eligibility and Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must have a minimum 3.3 GPA (on the most recent 30 units) and have completed the following undergraduate courses:


  • HCP 10: Intro to HCP
  • HCP 112: Healthcare Policy
  • POL 101: Research Methods This pathway is open to both Traditional and Weekend/Evening & Online undergraduate students in any major.

Qualifying Courses

The following graduate-level courses double-count:


  • HCA 210: Intro to Health Policy and Health Policy Analysis
  • HCA 230: Healthcare Management
  • HCA 211: Healthcare Leadership in an Age of Diversity
  • HCA 220: Project Management

Units and Double-Counting

Students can double-count up to 12 units for both degrees.


Participation Requirements

To participate in the program, students must meet with their undergraduate advisors and complete the HCA Cross Enrollment Petition.
