Admission Criteria
Academic entry requirements are matched to the equivalent academic entry requirements for studying these programmes on the QMU UK campus.
- Scottish Higher: Standard - AABBB, Minimum - ABBBB
- A Level: AAB
- Required Subjects: Two of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or Maths at Higher/A Level or equivalent. English and Maths at Nat 5/GCSE.
- International Baccalaureate: 32 points
- International Equivalents: Including Egyptian Certificate of General Secondary Education (Thanaweya Amma) with an overall grade determined annually according to the rules of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education coordination office. Minimum levels in science and maths components required will be 60%.
- Language Requirements: Students whose language is not Arabic (native speakers) must have a minimum level of Arabic at CEFR B2. Admission requires an IELTS score of 6.0, with no component below 5.5. Alternatively, students may be admitted with an IELTS score of 5.5, with no component below 5.0, provided they complete a mandatory non-credit English language module during their first year.
- English Proficiency Assessment: Students take their first attempt at achieving IELTS 6.0 (with no component below 5.5) at the end of the second semester. If unsuccessful, students have up to two additional attempts. Failure to pass the English module after three attempts will result in the student being withdrawn from the programme.
- Structured Interview: All students applying for Physiotherapy will undergo a structured interview as part of the admission process, exploring the applicant's suitability and motivation for a career in physiotherapy.
