Independent and Supplementary Prescribing for Healthcare Professionals

This module is designed for NMC or HCPC registered health professionals, including nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals, who are required to prescribe a wide range of medicines from the British National Formulary (BNF). This includes controlled drugs, 'off-label' and unlicensed medication.

Program Overview

The Independent and Supplementary Prescribing module aims to develop the skills necessary for healthcare professionals to become prescribers in their particular area. Upon completion, participants will gain a recordable entry on their professional register.
