Introduction to Wound Management and Tissue Viability

• Year 1: Advanced Research Methods, Advanced Leadership, Advancing Professional Practice, Advanced Concepts in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair, Critical Issues in the Assessment and Management of Individuals with Ulceration and Lymphoedema, Critical Issues in the Assessment and Management of Individuals with Leg Pressure Ulcers and Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
• Year 2: Thesis - Generating Evidence for Practice.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Be a registered nurse or midwife in their country of practice.
• Hold a bachelor's degree. If not, please see the recognition of prior learning pathway.
• Be working in the healthcare industry.
• Meet the English language requirements (unless exempt): IELTS score of 6.5, Duolingo 105-110, or equivalent score on another standardized test.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL considers learning acquired through experience. It may be used to gain admission to programs where an applicant may not have obtained the standard entry requirements.

• Fee (Year 1 and 2): 14,005
• The fees for the two-year MSc program are 14,005. However, if a student has completed a Postgraduate Diploma, the fees for Year 2 of the MSc program are 7,040.

  • If a student has outstanding fees, they will not be entitled to receive their grades or be eligible to progress and/or graduate (VLE and Library privileges will be withdrawn in these cases).
  • RCSI accepts no obligation to refund any fee, or part thereof, in respect of a student who chooses to withdraw from a program.
  • If a student chooses to withdraw from a program, they are liable for full fees owed for the seat on that program.
  • All NUI parchments are issued in Latin; a student will be required to pay an additional fee of 50 to NUI if they wish to have a parchment published in English.
  • Fees are subject to review annually.
