Pharmacy Program

The Pharmacy program at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences is designed to offer students a range of career options. Upon obtaining the MPharm degree, graduates will be able to work in areas such as:

Program Details

The program is a five-year course that leads to a BSc Pharmacy (Hons) and MPharm qualification. The EU CAO code for the program is RC005, and there are 60 places available for EU students and 30 places for non-EU students.

Career Development

RCSI has a dedicated Careers Development Team that works with students on career planning as they progress through their studies. The careers service includes:

Student Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to undertake career-enhancing placements and overseas electives involving direct patient clinical care. They can also enhance their laboratory research skills at the RCSI Summer Research School. Additionally, students complete a Mental Health First Aid training certificate as part of the program.

Program Structure

The program starts in September, and the duration is five years. The qualification awarded is BSc Pharmacy (Hons) and MPharm.
