Air Force ROTC Program
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is an educational program designed to give students an opportunity to become an Air Force or Space Force officer while completing their college degree.
Program Overview
Walsh University has a crosstown agreement with Kent State University Det 630, which means students will be enrolled as full-time students at Walsh University and take their AFROTC classes each week at Kent State University Det 630. The AFROTC Mission is to develop leaders of character for tomorrow's Air Force and Space Force, while Detachment 630's mission is to inspire, motivate, and perform.
Program Details
The program offers more than 100 officer career fields, including flying the most advanced aircraft in the world, designing and operating the latest space systems, and working on the cutting edge of technology.
Admission Requirements
To join the Air Force ROTC program, students must:
- Apply to Walsh University
- Submit all required documents to complete the Walsh application, including:
- Official High School Transcripts
- ACT, SAT, and/or CLT scores (for incoming freshmen)
- Official College Transcripts (for transfer students)
- Complete the KSU Cross Registration Form
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Notify the Walsh University Office of Admissions of their enrollment into the AFROTC program once approved
