Certified Drone Operator Limits

Graduates of this program can operate drones (250 g to 25 kg) under Transport Canada regulations, with the following limitations:


  • Up to 120m Above Ground Level (AGL)
  • Must be 30m away from people, buildings, and infrastructure
  • In Class G Airspace: must be 3NM (5.6 km) away from airports and 1NM (1.9 km) away from heliports
