  • Completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent (Adult Dogwood or Mature Student status)
  • English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a minimum grade of 73%

Curriculum Structure

Three required courses:


  • FIRE 1000 (3 credits): Introduction to Fire Science - Gain foundational knowledge about the science and behaviour of wildfire.
  • FIRE 1010 (3 credits): Wildfire Dynamics - Explore the science behind wildfire prediction and management.
  • FIRE 1020 (3 credits): Impacts of Wildfire - Understand the socio-environmental effects of wildfire events.

  • Completion of 9 credits encompassing the 3 required courses
  • Minimum passing grade as outlined in TRU's academic policies
