Introduction to the Visiting Student Program
The TRU Visiting Student Program is designed for students from universities worldwide to study at TRU for one or two semesters. This program offers a unique opportunity for international students to experience a short-term study abroad program or to transfer credits back to their home institution.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Visiting Student Program, students must:

- Be from partner institutions with which TRU collaborates to facilitate credit transfer.
Application Process
The application process involves the following steps:
- Explore programs and courses offered by TRU to find the ones that align with your academic goals.
- Plan with your home institution to ensure that the selected courses meet the degree requirements. A Letter of Permission is recommended.
- Apply via EducationPlannerBC, selecting "Visiting Student" and uploading the required documents, including:
- Letter of Permission (if applicable)
- Transcript from the home institution
- Copy of passport
- Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
- TRU reviews the documents, issues a Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA), and requires a $5,000 CAD tuition deposit.
- After the deposit is received, TRU issues an Official Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
- Finalize course registration and housing arrangements.
Tuition and Fees
- Estimated Tuition: Approximately $9,000 CAD for 12 credits.
- Tuition Deposit: $5,000 CAD, required for the issuance of the LOA.
- Additional Costs: Student fees, accommodation, insurance, and personal expenses.
