Course Description
VTEC 2875 is a clinical work and correspondence course that is available to students enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Diploma Open Learning program. The course involves advanced level competencies in the third year of the program.

- Admittance into Semester 7 of the TRU VTEC OL Education program
- All vaccinations up to date, including rabies vaccine

Course Duration

Learning Outcomes
- Confirm membership in related Provincial Association(s).
- Confirm required level of professional supervision is present at selected location of clinical placement.
- Perform, or demonstrate knowledge of essential skill procedures outlined in VTEC 2113 and VTEC 2213.
- Maintain paid work in a full service Canadian veterinary hospital or clinic for a minimum of 260 hours per semester.
- Complete and file all Clinic Affiliation Forms at Thompson Rivers University.
- Complete and submit the Essential Skills Workbook demonstrating completion of skills outlined in VTEC 2113 and VTEC 2213.
- Recertification of WHMIS.
