Overview of the Bachelor of Aviation
The Bachelor of Aviation is a comprehensive undergraduate degree that offers students the opportunity to embark on an exciting career in the aviation sector. With two majors available, Aviation Management and Flight Operations, students can choose to specialize in either the management aspect of aviation or pursue a career as a professional pilot.
Program Structure
The Bachelor of Aviation is a three-year degree that consists of 24 units of study. The program is divided into core courses, major courses, and elective courses. Students must complete eight core courses, which provide a foundation in aviation principles and concepts. The major courses are designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in their chosen area of specialization.
Majors
The Bachelor of Aviation offers two majors: Aviation Management and Flight Operations.
- Aviation Management: This major is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in aviation principles and concepts, preparing them for critical roles in the aviation sector.
- Flight Operations: This major is designed to provide students with the technical and non-technical skills required to become a professional pilot.

Entry Requirements
To be considered for entry into the Bachelor of Aviation, students must meet specific entry requirements, including:
- ATAR 62.70
- Assumed knowledge in English and mathematics
- Completion of a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or equivalent
English Language Requirements
International students must meet the English language requirements, which include:
- IELTS (Academic) - Minimum overall score of 6.0 and a minimum score of 5.5 in each of the four components
Additional Requirements
Students who plan to major in Flight Operations must also meet additional requirements, including:
- Obtaining a Class 1 medical certificate
- Purchasing a UniSQ aviation uniform
