AVN8101 Managing Operations in Aviation
Overview
Airline, airport, and other aviation operations are complex socio-technical systems that require specialized knowledge in a range of operational areas. These operational units are highly interdependent and rely on their effectiveness to maintain both efficiency and safety across the operation. It is therefore important to provide students with in-depth knowledge of operations across the aviation system, which will enable them to be effective participants and leaders in their chosen aviation specialization.
This course provides aviation practitioners with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of operations specializations within the aviation system and their own professional environment, from the perspective of their current and anticipated role(s). Participants will reflect on the various operational components of the industry and apply this reflective knowledge in a manner that will elucidate high-level managerial expertise.
