Courses & Requirements

The University of West Florida's B.A. in ISS Community Education online program includes a total of 120 credit hours. After completing 60 credit hours in general education, plus prerequisites, students will need to complete a core of 45 credit hours in major courses. Then, students can choose 15 credit hours of advisor-approved electives to specialize their knowledge or pursue a complementary minor.


Lower Division Courses

  • General Education (60 credit hours): Students must satisfy 60 credit hours of general education requirements.
  • Lower Division Electives (18-24 credit hours): Students must complete sufficient 1000/2000 level electives to satisfy at least 60 sh in the lower division.
  • Common Prerequisites (6 credit hours): Students are required to take two introductory courses in social science.
