Program Overview


Introduction to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) with a major in Supply Chain Logistics Management is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the core knowledge and skills necessary to recognize, understand, and manage logistics and transportation operations. This program is included in the University's accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.


Program Overview

The Supply Chain Logistics Management major provides students with a deep understanding of logistics, transportation, materials planning and management, demand management, finished goods distribution, customer service, global and intermodal logistics, transportation brokerage and freight forwarding, logistics analytics, and procurement. The program aims to connect students with business logistics in the field through interactions with executives in the classroom and in industry facilities.


Program Requirements

In addition to general University requirements, students seeking the B.S.B.A. in Supply Chain Logistics Management must meet the following requirements:


  • A minimum course grade of "C" is required in all Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business prerequisites, major, and major-related courses.
  • Students should consult with their academic advisor for courses that may satisfy both the General Education requirements and common prerequisites.

Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business BSBA Core

All students pursuing a BSBA major in the Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business must complete each of the following BSBA core courses with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better:

  • FIN 3403: Managerial Finance
  • GEB 3213: Writing for Business: Theory and Practice
  • GEB 4361: International Business
  • ISM 3011: e-Business Systems Fundamentals
  • ISM 3116: Introduction to Business Analytics

  • MAN 4720: Strategic Management

General Education Requirements

The General Education curriculum includes:


  • Communication: 3 hours (e.g., SPC 2608: Public Speaking)
  • Mathematics: 6 hours (e.g., STA 2023: Elements of Statistics, MAC 2233: Calculus with Business Applications)
  • Social Sciences: 3 hours (e.g., ECO 2013: Principles of Economics Macro)
  • Humanities: 6 hours (choose from various options)
  • Natural Sciences: 6 hours (choose from various options)
  • General Education Electives: choose an additional course from two of the five areas

Civic Literacy Requirement

Students must demonstrate competency in civic literacy by passing an assessment or taking approved courses such as AMH 2020: United States Since 1877 or POS 2041: American Politics.


Mathematics Pathway

Students are advised to complete the following courses to fulfill the mathematics pathway:


  • MAC 1105: College Algebra or MAC 1105C: College Algebra with Lab
  • MAC 2233: Calculus with Business Applications or STA 2023: Elements of Statistics

Students must complete sufficient 1000/2000 level electives to complete at least 60 semester hours in the lower division.
