Program Requirements
At Manhattan College, you must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours, which typically take 1-2 years of study. Part-time students may complete their degrees in approximately three years by taking one or two classes per semester. If you have an undergraduate degree in another engineering or STEM program, there may be a requirement to take prerequisite courses for admission.
Faculty and Research
Faculty in the chemical engineering program are renowned for their work and have managed many of Manhattan College's research projects. As a student, you will engage with some of the best guidance in the country and receive the mentoring you need to excel professionally. Conducting research is a popular option in this program — about 50% of students participate in research projects with faculty while earning their degree. Many have published their work in peer-reviewed journals or presented their work at conferences. As a fully online student, you may participate in research, too, though projects must be structured in a way that does not require laboratory work.
