The Liberal Arts - B.A./MBA program offers students in certain liberal arts majors the option of earning their B.A. and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in five years.

What Will You Learn?

Students interested in pursuing this five-year program will learn:

• To examine the logic and methods of social science research and learn to analyze contemporary social issues from an economics perspective.
• How levels of production and the price level are determined in the macro economy. Topics covered include inflation and unemployment, money and banks, federal budget and national debt, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth and development.
• The fundamental principles in accounting and their use in financial reporting for business organizations.
• An understanding of management from historical, behavioral, theoretical and practical perspectives.

Senior Year and MBA Courses

A senior with an overall GPA of at least 3.0, who has made significant and satisfactory progress toward completing the previously listed business minor courses, will be offered conditional admission to the MBA program. This will allow the student to take up to two select MBA courses during their senior year. These MBA courses are "double-counted," meaning they satisfy undergraduate Liberal Arts elective requirements as well as MBA degree requirements.

• A maximum of two MBA courses (6 credits) can be used to satisfy undergraduate degree requirements.
• A student wishing to enroll in an additional MBA course (beyond the two allowed in the senior year) must pay for the course at the graduate per-credit tuition rate.
• Permission of the MBA program director and the student's academic advisor are required to register for MBA courses.
