Employment Opportunities

With an AAS in Radiography, you will be prepared to work as a Radiologic Technologist or Radiographer in a hospital, clinic, physician's office, or using an industrial x-ray, such as in the aerospace industry. Radiologic Technologists (Radiographers) use radiation (X-rays) to produce images of anatomy to perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments.

Certification

Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the national certification examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Many states require practicing Technologists to be licensed, and you may be able to use your ARRT certification to fulfill state regulations depending on the state.

State Requirements

If you want to practice in Utah, you must be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist by the state.
