Bachelor of Science in Family Studies
The Bachelor of Science in Family Studies program prepares students for graduate studies and/or a career as a family life educator.
Why Family Studies?
The program provides excellent training and preparation for graduate school, employment, and personal life. It qualifies students to apply for the Certified Family Life Educator credential through the National Council on Family Relations, a national certification recognized in all 50 states. The program also offers the option to complete the degree online, allowing students to maintain their busy schedules.

Locations
Family Studies courses are offered at Weber State University Ogden and in Davis County (Davis High School and Weber State Davis) as a Cohort. Some classes are held in the evening or online format, while others are offered in a hybrid format (a combination of traditional face-to-face instruction and online learning).
NCFR Honors Recognition
The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) acknowledges family studies graduates for their accomplishments and academic success through the Honors Student Recognition Program. Honorees receive a stole, certificate of recognition, recognition in the NCFR Report, and recognition at the NCFR Annual Conference.
