MA vs. MFA Acting Programs
NYFA offers both MA and MFA acting programs, with the following key differences:
- The MA acting program is more liberal in its course overview, while the MFA acting program is strictly focused on acting itself.
- The MFA program takes longer to complete, typically three years, while the MA program is usually two years.
- The MFA program requires an extreme amount of dedication to the craft and a willingness to immerse oneself in the various facets of the art form.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees for NYFA programs are subject to change, but estimated total tuition for all programs is available. Additional expenses, such as housing, food, and transportation, are not included in the tuition costs. An annual increase in tuition and fees is expected.
