Level 7 Actuary Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship Overview

The Level 7 Actuary Apprenticeship is designed for individuals who wish to establish themselves as experts in their field, with skills backed by an internationally recognized qualification from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be eligible to join the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
• Meet the requirements set by individual employers, which typically include:
  • A degree in a numerate subject such as mathematics, statistics, or economics
  • A degree in a non-numerate subject with a minimum grade B in A-Level mathematics or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a level 4 Actuarial Technician
• Be employed in a role relevant to this programme

Programme Details

• Duration: 39 months
• Start Dates: October
• Application Deadline: 6 weeks before the start date
• Study Modes: Online live teaching, performance coaching, professional workshops, and work-based projects
• Cost: ｣18,000 (levy funded), with an additional ｣3,000 funded by the employer
• Apprenticeship Standard: Actuary

Career Progression

The Level 7 Actuary Apprenticeship is the first step towards gaining the internationally recognized IFoA Fellowship, the highest level of qualification attainable with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
