Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in business and organizations. The program is founded on the cornerstones of leadership, creative innovation, global awareness, and ethical responsibility.
Program Overview
The PLU MBA program offers two degree options: Business Administration and the STEM-designated Management Science & Quantitative Methods. The Business Administration degree emphasizes strategy, innovation, and effective decision-making, while the Management Science & Quantitative Methods track introduces students to the essential quantitative methods used in Business Analytics.
Curriculum and Schedule
The MBA program consists of 36 credits, which can be completed in 9 months, 16 months, or 21 months. The program includes a 10-day faculty-led international experience, which provides students with firsthand exposure to the global nature of business.
Concentrations
Students have the option to add one of four concentrations to their MBA:
- Entrepreneurship & Closely-Held Enterprises
- Healthcare Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Technology and Innovation Management
Each concentration consists of two 4-credit courses, which are offered in six-week terms during the summer.

Learning Outcomes

Program Costs
The cost of the MBA program is $1,455 per credit hour, with a total program cost of $52,380 for the 36-credit MBA. An 8-credit concentration can be added for an additional $8,744.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
PLU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid options, including:
- PLU Alumni Scholarship: $5,000
- Graduate Academic Scholarships: $1,000-$4,000
- Nordic Opportunity Grant: $7,500-$12,500
- International Grant: $7,000-$10,500
Students can also finance their program through a combination of personal funds, educational loans, employer support, and military benefits.
