Technology Management Program (TMP)
Program Overview
Technology Management Program
The Technology Management Program (TMP) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi provides cost-effective, regularly scheduled replacements of computing devices for faculty, staff, labs, and classrooms. The program's purpose is to maximize the use of campus computing equipment while ensuring responsible management of university funds.
Program Overview
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) oversees the replacement cycle with three key goals:
- Enabling Anytime, Anywhere Access capabilities
- Maintaining fiscal responsibility
- Minimizing service interruptions for faculty, staff, and students
Program Benefits
By funding device replacements, TMP allows departments to dedicate their budgets to non-technology priorities. Each department's accountable property officer remains responsible for asset inventory. Devices that are outdated or require replacement are returned to DoIT. Equipment that still meets campus standards may be redeployed to support student workers, part-time staff, research needs, or kiosks.
Eligibility
The Technology Management Program is available for faculty and staff.
