The Direct Entry Doctor of Nursing Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program is designed for individuals with a non-nursing bachelor's degree who have completed the necessary prerequisites.


Program Requirements

  • The program consists of 108 credits taken over 9 terms (full-time) or 11 terms (part-time).
  • The program can be completed in 3644 months.
  • The format of the program is on-campus or hybrid, with on-campus classes through term 4 and online classes only after term 4.

Degrees and Licensure

  • Both MSN and DNP degrees are conferred upon completion of the program.
    • MSN is conferred following term 4.
    • DNP is conferred after program completion.
  • Students are eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam after term 4 to become a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Students are eligible to sit for the PMHNP Board Certification exam after DNP conferral.
