ART 2200 Intermediate Digital Media: Time Based
This course expands upon the fundamental concepts, strategies, and technologies that comprise expanded media within the art department, including digital image, publications, video, and installation. Emphasis is placed on forming ideas and strategies, and creating artwork that considers the core connections within expanded media: time, space, the body, the viewer, and society at large. Computer-based technologies and time-based media that are inherent to an expanded practice will support studio projects.

ART 1200 Introduction to Digital Media
This studio art course provides an introduction to digital concepts and techniques for creative media production, problem solving, and presentation. Throughout the semester, the possibilities for multifaceted, interdisciplinary, and complex forms of artistic practice will be explored. As participants in this journey, understanding how cultural producers engage with media production and consumption, the relationship with digital platforms, and how digital tools have changed the experience of the world will be considered. Technical demos will introduce the software and techniques of digital processes for artists, including digital imaging, motion graphics, digital spaces, and editing for video and audio.
