Course Details
ART 4800 Research and Practice in Metalsmithing
This is a research course where the student will meet with the professor to select a study topic, review research methods, and write a proposal outlining the project in both content and form as well as a detailed work plan. It is expected that the student and faculty meet once per week to assess progress of the project.
- Prerequisite(s): ART 3800 Advanced Metalsmithing or permission of instructor
ART 3800 Advanced Metalsmithing
Students will explore current trends and issues in metalsmithing in relationship to their individual research concerns. Emphasis is on student-directed content, problems, and solutions within the context of metalsmithing that result in a body of work.
- Prerequisite(s): ART 2800 Intermediate Metalsmithing
