Course Description
The Biology department offers a course, BIO 1010 Perspectives in Biological Science, which is designed for non-science majors. This general education course examines the principles of biology within the context of the human experience and covers cell biology, physiology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and the interaction of humankind and the environment. The course content is offered in a variety of formats, including lectures in person or online, laboratory experience, group activities, and discussion-based activities. It does not count toward a biology major.
