Introduction to RMU Ready

RMU Ready is a comprehensive co-curricular initiative designed to help students develop a personalized roadmap for success. This program is grounded in the NACE Career Readiness Competencies, ensuring that students develop the essential skills employers value most.


The RMU Ready Program Overview

To fulfill the RMU Ready program, students must successfully complete 7 out of 10 competencies, accumulating a total of 700 points. As students complete each competency, they will earn a digital badge that can be displayed on their LinkedIn profile to showcase their achievement and validate their skills for potential employers.


Completing a Single Competency

To achieve completion and earn a badge for any single competency, students will earn points from two sources, totaling 100 points:


  • A minimum of 50 points from engaging in Events and Tasks.
  • An additional 50 points earned through the dedicated Academy.

Building Your Foundation: The Career Readiness Academies

Each student will complete 7 of 10 foundational academies, including:


  • Critical Thinking Foundations Academy
  • Belonging Academy
  • Financial Wellness Academy
  • Interview Academy
  • Leadership Development Academy
  • Professional Networking Academy
  • Professionalism Essentials Academy
  • Social Impact Careers Academy
  • Teamwork Fundamentals Academy
  • Technology Enrichment Academy

Customized Skill-Building Activities

Beyond the foundational academies, RMU Ready offers personalized opportunities to deepen expertise in each competency. Working closely with advisors, students will identify additional activities tailored to their interests and career goals. These activities may include workshops, internships, volunteer experiences, or specialized projects.


Your Progress, Your Achievements

As students accumulate points and demonstrate proficiency, they will earn digital badges representing their mastery in each NACE competency. These badges can be showcased on their LinkedIn profile, providing tangible evidence of their skills to potential employers.
