Admissions

The university has different admission requirements for different types of students.

• Freshman Admissions: The requirements for freshman admissions include completing the RMU Ready program as a graduation requirement for students who entered the university in Fall 2024 or later.
• Graduate & Doctoral Admissions: The graduate and doctoral admissions requirements include completing the GMAT waiver policy and graduate admissions requirements.
• Transfer Admissions: Transfer students who entered the university in Fall 2025 and beyond are required to fully complete the RMU Ready program.
• International Admissions: International students must meet the international admissions requirements.
• Part-time, Readmission and Guest Students: Part-time or degree completion requirements apply to these students.
• Veterans & Military Families: Military and veterans admissions requirements are in place for these students.

• Schools & Departments: The university has several schools and departments, including the Rockwell School of Business, School of Communication and Media, School of Data Intelligence and Technology, School of Education and Social Sciences, School of Engineering and Science, and School of Health Professions.
• Office of the Provost: The office of the provost oversees academic services, special academic programs, and research and grants administration.
• Special Academic Programs: The university offers special academic programs, such as the Women's Leadership and Mentorship Program, Honors Program, and Pre-Law Advisory Program.

RMU Ready Program

The RMU Ready program is a graduation requirement for students who entered the university in Fall 2024 or later.

• Requirements: Students must complete 7 out of 10 competencies for a total of 700 points.
• Competencies: The 10 competencies include Professionalism, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Career & Self-Development, Technology, Equity & Inclusion, Communication, Leadership, Service, and Wellness.
• Earning Points: Students can earn points by attending events, completing tasks, and completing academies associated with each competency.
• Badges: Students can earn digital badges by completing competencies, which can be showcased on their LinkedIn profiles.

The university offers various resources and services for students, including:

• Residence Life: The university has several residence halls, including apartment-style housing and traditional housing.
• Dining Services: The university has several dining locations and offers meal plans.
• Student Organizations: The university has several student organizations, including the Center for Student Success and the Tutoring Center.
