Curriculum Guide

The curriculum guide for the Hospitality Management, Certificate program includes the following requirements:

GPA Requirement

• Overall GPA: 2.0 or higher

Certificate Requirements

• Students must complete at least 6 credit hours in their Concentration from SRU.
• A minimum of 6 credit hours must be upper division (courses numbered 300 and above)
• A Certificate shall be no fewer than 12 credits.

  • HEMT 112: Introduction to HEMT (3 hours)
  • HEMT 114: Sustainability in Food and Hospitality (3 hours)
• Electives:
  • Select six credits from the following:
    • HEMT 322: Food and Beverage Operations
    • HEMT 326: Introduction to Meetings and Event Management
    • HEMT 416: Resort Recreation Programming
    • HEMT 417: Hotel/Lodging & Hospitality Management
