Curriculum

Colorado Mesa University's Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program prepares students to become competent entry-level occupational therapists. The MSOT program values student wellness and welcomes diversity. Faculty emphasize learning by doing through classroom and hands-on instruction. Students learn to use everyday activities (occupations) as therapy to promote health and well-being for individuals, groups, and populations across the lifespan. Program Structure

The MSOT program consists of four semesters of on-campus coursework and two full-time fieldwork placements. During the didactic portion of the program, students participate in three Level I fieldwork experiences to gain practical knowledge of the practice settings and populations served in the greater Grand Junction area. Level II fieldwork consists of two twelve-week placements. The total time required to complete the program is 24 months.
