Admission Requirements

An applicant for the Master of Science in Health Informatics program must possess:

• A baccalaureate degree in a clinical field, healthcare, computer science, business, or other related fields from a regionally accredited institution with a GPA of at least 2.5/4.0.
• A GPA of at least 3.0 is required for applicants from backgrounds outside of those mentioned above.
• Completed graduate application
• Complete resume
• Transcripts from all prior institutions
• TOEFL scores if English is not the first language
• Documented, relevant work experience in areas of computer science, medical, healthcare, or business may be considered in the admissions process.

Retention and Degree Requirements

• Retention is contingent on maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA).
• The course work is expected to be completed within two years for full-time students and within six years for part-time students.
• The degree requirements are at least thirty credit hours of study.
