Summer Internship, Prague

The Summer Internship, Prague program offers students the opportunity to gain marketable skills and résumé-boosting experience in a variety of fields, including business, communications, design, public service, and technology.


Program Details

  • Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Academics

  • Fields of Study: Humanities, Social Science, Science, Engineering
  • Unique Study Opportunities: Attend excursions to cultural sites near Prague, compare and contrast experiences interning abroad with the work culture in the US

  • Courses and Credit Requirements: Take one internship seminar for a total of 9 quarter/6 semester UC units, complete a full-time internship (minimum of 240 hours, 30 hours per week) along with an in-person workplace seminar course (1 hour per week)
  • Academic Culture: Small classes with other students from the US, strict attendance policy for both the academic seminar and the internship placement
  • Grades: Earn direct UC credit and grades for all coursework, grades typically available in mid-October

  • Financial Aid: Available, students can estimate excess aid by subtracting total estimated program costs paid to UCEAP from their financial aid award for study abroad

Dates and Eligibility

  • Program Requirements: Maintain eligibility, including required minimum GPA, from the time of application through the end of the program
  • Eligibility: Enrolled as a degree-seeking student with a UC campus, in good academic standing, meet basic criteria and program requirements
  • Note for Transfer Students: Incoming transfer students are eligible to apply, but must check with their campus study abroad office to determine how soon they can participate in study abroad
