The University of Saint Mary offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The program prepares students to function safely, efficiently, and competently in the generalized nursing field.

• The program consists of 120 total credits, with 57 nursing credits.
• Clinical rotations are included to round out the classroom experience.
• The program has an excellent first-time NCLEX pass rate, with a 96% pass rate for the Class of 2024.

Admission Requirements

• Aspire to Nursing: Direct Entry for Freshmen requires a 3.5 high school GPA and a 24 or higher on the ACT, or a 3.75 high school GPA with an essay (no ACT required).
• Students must maintain a 3.5 overall GPA in USM courses and a 3.5 GPA in USM science courses.

• USM offers scholarships up to $17,500 for students transferring into the Saint Mary Nursing program.

Accreditation

• The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and master's degree program in nursing at the University of Saint Mary are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
• The Pre-Licensure Baccalaureate of Nursing program, Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs are approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN).

Licensure

• Graduation from a USM nursing program and passage of the NCLEX exam do not guarantee licensure.
